At Studio 26 we offer two methods of hair removal to suit all types of skin, hair and budget. Both offer long lasting results.
Superfluous hair on the face or body can be a problem for both men and women and affects thousands of people, in today’s society images of airbrushed images in the media give an often unrealistic representation of what is ‘normal’, nevertheless excess hair growth can be distressing to some people.
Everyday hair removal can be tolerated by most people however conventional methods can also lead to irritation, rashes and in growing hairs and at best can be a nuisance to have to repeat on a daily basis.
ELLIPSE INTENSE PULSED LIGHT (IPL) is a method of PERMANENTLY reducing unwanted hair. IPL works by targeting the pigment in the hair with a specially filtered light, delivered in a powerful series of pulses. The resulting thermal effect stops the follicle producing a new hair. A course of 6 sessions is normally required to achieve optimum results

+ You may continue to shave until the hair falls out, so no obvious growth is apparent
+ Treatment is non invasive with no trauma to the skin
+ Skin condition is enhanced and ingrown hairs prevented
+ Any area apart from eyebrows may be treated (between the brows may be treated)
~ Will not treat white or grey hair
~ Not suitable for certain health conditions

Waxing is a temporary method of hair removal which removes the hair from the root. New hair will take approximately 2-8 weeks to re-grow, depending on the hair growth cycle. + will remove all colours of hair
+ removes top layer of skin, therefore exfoliating the surface
